A Great Victory for Mental Health!

The UF Center for Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine is a critical element of Indian River County’s continuum of care. The organization provides mental health services to both adults and children in the community. These services also bring awareness to the rising issue of mental health. The UF Center is one of the largest outpatient clinics providing services to residents of Indian River County, as well as residents of Brevard, Saint Lucie, Martin, and Okeechobee counties. Through the advocacy of community leaders, combined with assistance from Senator Debbie Mayfield and Representative Grall, $300,000 was included in Governor DeSantis’ budget which will cover the unreimbursed costs of care provided by the UF Center.
