Indian River Community Foundation awarded a competitive grant of $21,000 to United Against Poverty of Indian River County. This is one of ten grants recently awarded from the Community Enrichment Fund.
The grant was awarded to United Against Poverty to support STEP, the organization’s Success Training for Employment Program. “United Against Poverty’s mission is to inspire and empower people living in poverty to lift themselves and their families to economic self-sufficiency,” said Annabel Robertson, executive director. “This grant will help us to make life better for more than 100 program participants through classes, employment readiness activities and intensive case management in the coming year.”
