Congratulations to Shannon Bowman, First Recipient of Chairman's Nonprofit Leadership Award
Earlier this year, Bob Puff was honored for his recent volunteer service as Chair of Indian River Community Foundation's Board of Directors by being given the privilege of recommending a local nonprofit organization's executive director to receive the inaugural Chairman's Nonprofit Leadership Award. As a result, Shannon Bowman, Executive Director of Childcare Resources of Indian River was selected as the recipient.
The Chairman's Nonprofit Leadership Award is a $2,500 grant given to a local nonprofit organization for the purpose of supporting the professional development of its executive director. In making his selection, Puff had this to say about selecting Bowman:
"Shannon Bowman is an accomplished leader who has done a great job as head of a local charity that serves working families in our community. I am impressed by her ability to get important things done, such as the launch of Childcare Resource's new school and the successful completion of the organization's capital campaign. I also appreciate Shannon's dedicated service to the broader community of nonprofits here in Indian River County. She has earned this recognition."
