Endowment Partner Spotlight: YSF Community Sailing

The mission of YSF Community Sailing Vero Beach is to provide Indian River County with educational, recreational and competitive sailing programs for all ages in a fun and safe environment. The organization is dedicated to fostering a love for sailing among the youth in our community. Through their free Youth Sailing program, YSF offers young sailors the opportunity to learn the ropes of sailing in a safe and supportive environment. This program focuses on building essential sailing skills, fostering teamwork, and instilling confidence both on and off the water. In addition to the youth program, YSF offers an Adaptive Sailing program tailored to youth and adults with special needs. This inclusive initiative provides a free sailing experience designed to accommodate individuals with diverse abilities, ensuring that everyone has the chance to enjoy the thrill of sailing regardless of their challenges. YSF Community Sailing Vero Beach believes that the joy of sailing should be accessible to all, and their adaptive program exemplifies their commitment to inclusivity and diversity on the water.

YSF Community Sailing Vero Beach is also a part of our Endowment Partners Program (EPP).  The purpose of the EPP is to help local charities plan for their long-term sustainability by growing a permanent endowment fund. During a 12-month program, participants learn about endowments, planned giving, investment management and marketing solutions that inspire loyal donors to make planned gifts from their estates. The program is coordinated by IRCF team member Yamilet Cendejas.
