Planned Giving
With gift planning, you can provide long-lasting support for our organization, or for one of our Endowment Partners, while enjoying financial benefits for yourself.
Bequests are the most common type of planned gifts made to leave a lasting charitable legacy. Contact your advisor who can add simple bequest language in your will to include Indian River Community Foundation as part of your estate plan. Click here for sample bequest language for your attorney.
If you or a family member are age 70 ½ or older, contributions made from your IRA to one or more permanent endowment funds at Indian River Community Foundation (up to $108,000 per year) are not reported as taxable income. Contact your plan administrator to make a gift from your IRA or to add Indian River Community Foundation as the final beneficiary of your IRA.
Our Endowment Partners Program helps local charities plan for long-term sustainability. Over 12 months, participants learn about planned giving, investments, and marketing solutions to help establish and grow permanent endowments that can sustain their operations into the future.
