Humane Society Pet Adoptions On the Move with Help from Indian River Community Foundation

The Community Foundation recently awarded a $50,000 grant to the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County to support the organization’s Pet Spot Mobile Adoption Unit and Clinic.  Grant funding was used to purchase and operate a mobile trailer, supporting the organization’s work in underserved areas of Indian River County.  On Sunday, October 14th, Community Foundation President and CEO, Jeff Pickering, and his children joined Humane Society directors and staff for an event at Walking Tree Brewery where 6 animals were adopted.  Click here to learn more about how you can help support the Humane Society's mission and programs.
