Impact 100 Indian River Gives Grants to Youth, Veterans and Emergency Assistance Groups
Economic Opportunities Council of Indian River County, Tykes & Teens Inc., the Veterans Council of Indian River County and Youth Guidance Mentoring and Activities Program are the four recipients of $100,000 grants from Impact 100.
Three other finalists —The Buggy Bunch, Indian River State College Foundation Inc. and Vero Beach Rowing Inc.— will each receive $22,000 grants.
The Economic Opportunities Council of Indian River County will use the grant to expand their early bird childcare program to Dodgertown Elementary School.
Tykes & Teens Inc. will use the grant for a program called Little TYKES, which helps teach young kids emotional and social skills.
The Veterans Council of Indian River County Inc. will expand its Veterans Helping Veterans program that helps veterans improve their homes through safety and accessibility improvements.
Youth Guidance Mentoring and Activities Program will offer a science and technology STEAM Magnet Academy.
