IRCF Awards Crossover Mission $50,000

Crossover Mission empowers kids to become successful adults through a program of year-round basketball and one-to-one academic mentoring. The organization provides experiences that can shape the students’ vision about what is possible in their own education and careers.

IRCF recently awarded Crossover Mission $50,000 from the Community Enrichment Fund to help fund the final interior building improvements. Crossover Mission launched its first capital campaign in January 2022 with the acquisition of a former citrus packing plant located at 4425 US Highway 1. The purpose of the campaign is to fund comprehensive improvements to this ideally located facility, neighboring the Gifford community, to establish the Crossover Center for Excellence. Interior capital improvements will establish athletic training spaces and academic mentoring spaces that facilitate effective and efficient delivery of the Crossover program.

Indian River Community Foundation’s discretionary grantmaking is aligned with a vision of a more healthy, prosperous, and generous Indian River County community. Grantmaking priorities are informed by the findings of the most recent community needs assessment and the most current data and information collected on Indian River Indicators.

IRCF is holding informational sessions for nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations serving Indian River County who are interested in applying for a competitive grant. If interested, please call 772.492.1407 or email Brooke Sauserman to reserve your spot. Please read our Guidelines before registering.
