IRCF Awards The Buggy Bunch $25,000
Founded in 2009, The Buggy Bunch is dedicated to building relationships and meeting the needs of Indian River County moms and their families. Their vision is that all Indian River County moms and families are thriving emotionally, financially, mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Indian River Community Foundation recently awarded The Buggy Bunch $25,000 to support their new Thriving Families Program. This program was developed so that children can have a safe, secure place to rebuild broken bonds when supervised visitation has been court ordered. The program will be modeled after other successful state approved supervised visitation programs. The Buggy Bunch has implemented a system with the Thriving Families program where a supervised visit or exchange is provided with proper security by a paid law enforcement officer. In addition to security, the organization provides trained facilitators who observe through sight and voice and in a secure atmosphere during the supervision period.
Indian River Community Foundation’s discretionary grantmaking is aligned with a vision of a more healthy, prosperous, and generous Indian River County community. Grantmaking priorities are informed by the findings of the most recent community needs assessment and the most current data and information collected on Indian River Indicators.
IRCF is holding informational sessions for nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations serving Indian River County who are interested in applying for a competitive grant. If interested, please call 772.492.1407 or email Brooke Sauserman to reserve your spot. Please read our Guidelines before registering.
