IRCF Awards Treasure Coast Girls Coalition $15,000

Treasure Coast Girls Coalition (TCGC) educates, elevates, and empowers girls to be the best they can be. Indian River Community Foundation recently awarded TCGC $15,000 for the Seeds of Change STEAM Program from the Community Enrichment Fund.
The Seed of Change STEAM Program is designed to empower at-risk girls through year-round STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) learning, emotional intelligence development, and workforce readiness training. Since 2021, TCGC has been at the forefront of addressing systemic educational and economic inequities affecting girls from ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households and single-parent families. The students, ages 9-18, represent communities with high poverty, low academic outcomes, and limited exposure to high-wage career pathways. The organization is committed to closing this opportunity gap by blending hands-on, project-based STEAM learning with social-emotional supports that build resilience, self-confidence, and career awareness.
Indian River Community Foundation’s discretionary grantmaking is aligned with a vision of a more healthy, prosperous, and generous Indian River County community. Grantmaking priorities are informed by the findings of the most recent community needs assessment and the most current data and information collected on Indian River Indicators.
IRCF is holding informational sessions for nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations serving Indian River County who are interested in applying for a competitive grant. If interested, please call 772.492.1407 or email Brooke Sauserman to reserve your spot. Please read our Guidelines before registering.
