IRCF Awards Women's Club of Vero Beach $25,000
The Women's Club of Vero Beach, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that has been in existence since 1915. The mission of the Women's Club is to promote friendship among all women in Indian River County, host educational activities, provide charitable outreach to the community, and preserve the historic landmark building for all citizens to enjoy now and in the future.
Indian River Community Foundation recently awarded the Women's Club $25,000 to help fund critical renovations to the club's historical building. These urgent renovations include replacing the aging roof and gutters, rewiring the electrical system, and replacing and rerouting the cast iron piping system. Once these items have been addressed the Board plans additional renovations and restoration projects to breathe vibrant life into the building.
The Women's Club of Vero Beach is dedicated to enhancing the Vero Beach community through philanthropic activities and volunteer service. It is their goal to provide women with the opportunity to gather in a social setting, share educational and recreational activities and better facilitate circumstances for our community. The club meets between October through May of each year and they welcome all women to join in the fun as the club reenergizes and continues to grow.
Indian River Community Foundation’s discretionary grantmaking is aligned with a vision of a more healthy, prosperous, and generous Indian River County community. Grantmaking priorities are informed by the findings of the most recent community needs assessment and the most current data and information collected on Indian River Indicators.
